Get Your Data
Select your platform to see specific instructions for exporting your data securely.
Request Your Info
Go to Settings & Activity > Your Activity > Download Your Information.
- Tap "Download or transfer information"
- Select "Some of your information" (Faster)
- Scroll down and check only "Followers and following"
- Tap Next
Choose Format (Crucial)
- Date Range: All time
- Format: JSON (NOT HTML)
- Tap "Create files"
Download & Verify
Instagram will email you when ready (approx. 10-30 mins). Download the ZIP file.
Settings & Privacy
Navigate to Settings > Your Information > Download Your Information.
- Click "Continue" in Accounts Center
- Select "Download or transfer information"
- Choose "Specific types of information"
- Search/Select "Friends and followers"
Configuration
- Date Range: All time
- Format: JSON (Recommended)
- Media Quality: Low (Makes the download much faster)
- Click "Create files"
Profile Settings
Go to Profile > Menu (☰) > Settings and privacy.
- Tap "Account"
- Tap "Download your data"
Request JSON
- Select file format: JSON (Best) or TXT
- Tap "Request data"
Account Archive
Go to "More" > Settings and privacy.
- Select "Your account"
- Click "Download an archive of your data"
Verify & Request
You will need to re-enter your password and confirm via email/SMS code.
- Click "Request archive"
- Wait for the email notification (can take 24h+)
